All Quiet on the Larkspur Front (Week Nine)

I missed MMQB this week, and I am so sorry for it.

This is the first week since the season began that we have gone absolutely tradeless, nobody getting any hot team on team transaction action. Some traumatic injuries have splintered the best laid plans (Alas, McFly) and as bye weeks have left teams scrambling to fill holes, owners have been forced to expose players to waivers that they would have preferred not to. Everyone (except Flint) needs some added depth at running back, and nearly everybody could use an upgrade at the flex. We'll have power rankings later this week, and game results later today, but right now, lets take a look at the recent slew of injuries, and name our best play and worst bench for week nine:

Fodder for Uncle Rick?

Aaron Rodgers, QB Hill Valley (Week 9)
Broken Collarbone: Bad

Geno Atkins, DT Oakwood (Week 9)
Torn ACL: Out for Season
Justin Blackmon, WR Hill Valley (Week 8)
Addiction: Suspended Indefinitely
Mike Williams, WR Toronto (Week 8)
Hamstrung: Out for Season

Sidney Rice, WR Pawnee (Week 8)
Torn ACL: Out for Season

Ryan Broyles, WR Levee (Week 8)
Rupture Achilles: Out for Season
Brandon Gibson, WR New York (Week 8)
Torn Patella Tendon: Out for Season

David Wilson, RB Pawnee (Week 5)
Neck & Allegretta's complete absence of faith.

BEST PLAY: QB Nick Foles, Silver City (45.64 pts)
With starting QB Peyton Manning on bye week, and backup QB Mike Vick injured, SCFC turned to Nick Foles, and he delivered a record setting day, throwing for seven touchdowns: Silver City has been treated to superb QB play this season, despite a less than stellar WR corps, and now sits in second place overall, tied with the best record in the league at 7-2.

WORST BENCH: QB Tom Brady, Bristol Executioners (32.18 pts)
Bristol benched their starting QB for the second time in a month, and it was a bad call again- this time a really bad call. The future Hall of Famer is having a down season, but Week 9 was a vintage performance, that doubting Vincent Thomas missed out on. Other optimal plays RB Mike James and S Mark Barron were benched as well- some solace for the spurned: Even with all three in the game, Levee's Andre Johnson onslaught would have clinched a nailbiter.
