Trade Twelve: Sept 30th Toronto/Atlanta
Toronto's 3-1 start was induced, in part, by their glut of talented receivers. With five options for three slots, every week had potential for brilliance, or 'good problem' heartbreak; But they've won three straight, and thus, have established a pecking order. Therefore, WR Tavon Austin became expendable, dealt to an ailing Atlanta team with a heady dearth of talented wideouts. In return, they get the mystical Black Unicorn, TE Martellus Bennett, who has been a solid contributor in three of four weeks. His presence shores up the chink in LTP's armor, a reliable big bodied target. Tavon Austin slots directly into the Rage's starting lineup, and until Roddy White is healthy enough to be even a shadow of his former self, or Percy Harvin reanimates, he is probably the most talented wideout on the roster; As a rookie, his production is likely to be uneven, but if this team can get healthy, that still makes him a justifiable flex with upside. Depth for depth, this looks like a win for both teams.
Toronto receives TE Martellus Bennett
Atlanta receives WR Tavon Austin
