Trade Review: 2011 Pro-Bowlers

Trade Thirteen: Orgrimmar/Phoenix
Two teams at the league's peak exchanged spare parts today, as Orgrimmar dealt WR Greg Jennings to Phoenix for RB Willis McGahee. Both are only a couple of years removed from All-Pro status, but age and context has turned them into a WR3 and RB3, respectively. Undefeated Orgrimmar is the league's premier power one month in, but with Adrian Peterson on bye, and Maurice Jones-Drew still ailing, the Horde found themselves short on RB depth. McGahee is bonafide in contextual depth chart hierarchy, and he gives the team a third RB who should manage at least 15 touches per game. Greg Jennings will join Dwayne Bowe on Phoenix, as formerly elite WRs that have seen unclarified roles this year. A lot of Jenning's upside is contingent upon his chemistry with his quarterback- it remains to be seen who will line up behind the center. This is a low-risk deal that helps both teams address their depth issues, without disrupting what has been successful for each team.
