Trade Review: Running for the River

Trade Fourteen: Phoenix/Teamville
Phoenix expelled the last of its carousel of running back depth, moving RBs Ben Tate and Zac Stacy to Teamville for QB Philip Rivers. Stacy is looking at a probable promotion to number one back, while Tate has been good for 8-12 touches a week as the second running back in the Texan platoon, and should injury force him to pole position, he will immediately be elevated to RB1 status. Teamville has a solid duo of running backs in Trent Richardson and Lamar Miller already, but both have impending bye weeks, so the Players making depth moves make sense. QB Rivers has been spectacular in the first month, looking like the elite QB he was from 2008-2010. Phoenix starter Robert Griffin is off on bye this week, so Rivers will start immediately, and could run with the job if he continues to play well.
