Oakwood 139.33 vs Phoenix 128.70
The Uprising have a 69% chance of closing the 11 point gap tonight, as it all comes down to QB Philip Rivers on Monday Night. Rivers has exceeded this total in four of his first five games, so barring karmic catastrophe, Phoenix should move to 4-2 despite a dwindling projection. JJ Watt laid a goose egg, evidence that perhaps a defensive lineman was not worth a third round pick.
Levee 117.53 vs California 97.12
The defending champion Swag are down twenty points with only a single card left to play- but it may be a pocket ace trump card. TY Hilton scored 29.5 last week, and only needs two thirds of that production in week six to even the Swag's record. Levee has a 75% chance of closing this one out, but if California does cover, the G-Men will rue the day they committed to TE Brandon Meyers; After two big weeks to start the season, he's gone dormant for a month now, twice without making a peep on the stat sheet.
Atlanta 108.54 vs Teamville 108.02
With just fractions of a point seperating these two 2-3 teams, Monday night will dictate who gets back to .500 and who falls backward into the abyss, with the season's halfway point looming. The odds are on the Players' sideline: They have RB Trent Richardson and WR Vincent Brown playing tonight, with the Rage banking on WR Eddie Royal. Royal would have won this handicap match in week two, but repeating the feat will be difficult- Yahoo! scores them just an 18% chance of victory.
BEST PLAY? RB Giovani Bernard, Atlanta Rage 19.00 pts
This is purely speculative; Bernard was coming off of his worst game since week one, while Danny Woodhead has had big back to back weeks, and is likely to have a major role this week. So it took cojones to play Bernard, and Gio didn't disappoint in a Woodheadianesqe role, doing more damage receving than rushing. If Woodhead tops 19, perhaps I have to rethink this, but it's nice to have a RB1 performance in the book.
WORST BENCH Orgrimmar Horde
The Horde's undefeated run was bound to come to an end this week, as they ran into a Toronto team that was hitting on all cylinders. But uncharacteristic sloppy game management was the first nail in the coffin: WR Cecil Shorts and LB Bobby Wagner both sat as game-time decisions; Playing their rostered subs, WR Kendall Wright and LB DeMeco Ryans would have meant a swing of 21.4 points. Too much late night puzzle partying, methinks Mr Stano!
