Season Analysis:
New colors and a strong draft segued into a blissful early season, and the Drivers' 4-3 record on October 23rd was the deepest the team had ever enjoyed a winning record after a half decade of trying. That was, of course, the end of the good times: the team wouldn't win again until the 12th place game two months later. The squads inability to supplement Dev Freeman (and later, when injury struck, replace him) adequately was costly, as was Jordan Reed's completely expected run of poor health. Tom Brady and Blake Martinez did their best, but outside of a nice (but futile) effort in week 11, the team was never really competitive again. Roster depth matters, (especially later in the season) and the Drivers, having never been in the hunt before, just didn't manage to create much attrition as the season wore on.
