LBXIII: Two Minute Warning

The Thirteenth Annual Larkspur Bowl arrived with less pomp and circumstance than usual, but it has been a dogfight so far- the heavily favored Manitoba Moosecrew rumbled out to a big lead, but, unable to put the Deputy Van Halens away, they have allowed Dak Prescott the opportunity to come from behind, even the score, and potentially clinch the victory.

There's still another half to play with Dak and Greg the Leg capable of putting this one out of reach. However, with some turnovers and missed kicks, these are two positions that could lose points in a hurry if the tide turns in the endgame.

Whatever happens, Manitoba will have final rebuttal in the form of defensive lineman Christian Wilkins, who score a robust 18.40 last week. He'll likely need a game changing performance to give the Moosecrew glory. If he falls short, the story will likely be the Manitoba backfield, where the team had FIVE running backs score over 15 points this week, but unfortunately, played their fourth and fifth highest scorers. 30.9 points from Justin Jackson, 29.5 from Damien Harris, and 21.4 from Rashaad Penny, all wasted on the sidelines. Any one of them playing over Najee Harris or Ronald Jones might have put the title out of reach, but c'set la vie! SO IT GOES.
