Our Quarterfinals featured several monster performances, not to mention those on their bye. Which I will immediately mention: South Park's Derrick Henry (57.4) and George Kittle (39.3) saw their big days in vain, while Phoenix had Amari Cooper (52.4) do damage on a shadow enemy. Both teams should feel good about their output in an off week (scoring in the 220s, paced for 235+) despite ostensibly not fielding an optimal lineup in week fifteen, taking the week to gear up for the semifinals.
However, as-is neither would have been a match for Pawnee in a quarterfinal matchup- the Pride amassing 257.2 and counting in their overwhelming display against Binghamton. The undermanned Snipers were competent in their showing, but out of players they'll fall in the first round for the second consecutive year, then play a consolation game for draft position. With Russell Martin yet to tally, Pawnee got outrageous scores from Saquon Barkley (36.6) and Julio Jones (28.8) and double digits from everyone else- except Antonio Brown and three fourths of their secondary. The competent weeks from Eli Apple and Derwin James are no cause for concern, while Brown's pedestrian day is unlikely to be a trend despite a tough matchup in week fifteen where Phoenix awaits.
The hot ticket tonight will be between Hill Valley and Orgrimmar. Despite seeming in control throughout, the McFlys find themselves slightly behind going into crunch time. The Horde stake Kyle Rudolph to a six point lead, and in the midst of a quiet season their tight end will need a big day to hold off Stefon Diggs and Seabass Janikowski tonight. Every time the purples are throwing the ball, both managers will be holding their breath- and anytime the greens kick, it will be harrowing. When the dust settles, the victor will face South Park in the semi-finals while the loser will compete with Binghamton for fifth place.
FULL RECAPS UPON THE MORROW!
