The points record has fallen, but the 300 point threshold remained intact... just barely. Saskatoon is undefeated at 4-0, running up 299.88 on an unfortunate HCM City team. That .12 is a third of the margin that has kept Oakwood winless, as they lose to Phoenix by .36, pending stat corrections. The rest of the league is broken into three groups: Three win teams (PHX, PAW, ISL, MMC), two win teams (HVM, DVH, SPC, NYF), and one win teams (HCM, LTP, MDB, SAV), with the first month of play in the books.
POWER OUTPUT:
- 299 SAS: Eight of seventeen starters scored twenty plus in the perfect points storm. Do the Julio!
- 217 PAW: Very solid day by the defense and tight ends, the league's less heralded position groups.
- 204 HCM: Poor dumb luck... again. The Lead Farmers cannot catch a break because none are thrown to them.
- 202 LTP: Three of the top six scoring teams lost this week, and Toronto was one of them.
- PHX 199: Richard Sherman's cameo appearance stole the show for the Uprising in a ticky-tack matchup.
- OAK 199: Even the slightest stat correction could give Oakwood their first win. Otherwise... 0-4.
- NYF 198: The Finest even their record but could be without Cam Newton in week six.
- SAV 187: The Petes get their first W, and their first points from a TE, a huge 1.9 effort from Gronk
- HVM 183: The McFlys have alternated impressive efforts with ho-hum returns, as reflected in their record.
- ISL 181: A win is a win, and a deserved respite after a close loss last week. Keep feeding Zeke Elliot!
- SPC 171: The defending champs hand the MC a loss and even their record in a low scoring affair.
- MMC 161: Bound to be days like this for Beckham eventually, but it really came at a terrible time for the Crew.
- DVH 154: Playing man down is a strategy for the lazy or the bold. I'll leave the answer unspoken here.
- MDB 146: A tough day all around, but look for Malibu to turn the reins over to rookie sensation Carson Wentz.
