VIII: Week Five Results

Last year, New York's Finest marched nine long weeks undefeated before finally dropping a close game to Saskatoon in week ten; This year, Saskatoon was the last team to avoid the loss column, but they couldn't stretch their fortune longer than a month. They drop to 4-1, along with Surging Pawnee and a back on track Manitoba squad. At the bottom of the standings are 0-5 Oakwood and 1-4 HCM City, with four three-win teams and five two-win teams duking it out in the middle.

Week 5 Matchups

POWER OUTPUT:
  1. PAW 233: They've overcome a perceived weakness at WR with dual TE sets and a rich well of quality RBs.
  2. SAV 225: Every offensive position (including two TEs!) scored double digits as the Petes claw back into this.
  3. HVM 225: Strong all around performances masking holes at TE and flex, uncertainty at QB.
  4. LTP 220: No running backs? No problem, as LTPs Passing game and defense end a three game skid.
  5. NYF 215: Best game of the season cannot extend the win streak to three, but the team is back in the hunt.
  6. DVH 204: Team has won all three games when they breached the 200 point mark- need WRs to be reliable
  7. HCM 198: Most Points against feels like a conspiracy; won't leave Sammy Coates on the bench next week.
  8. OAK 186: Losing close games with decent output has got to be wearing on the Drivers, who have a weak defense.
  9. MDB 185: Big win for the Deadbeats who find contributors off the deep wire and appear to be on the upswing.
  10. ISL 184: Back to back weeks scoring 184, opposite results- lots of points left on the bench in week five.
  11. SPC 172: Reasonable output despite five byes, the loss isn't a setback as long as they remain healthy.
  12. MMC 153: MC has now banked two wins with sub-optimal scores and appears to have a RB problem... but 4-1!
  13. SAS 148: Should have saved some points last week, as their score fell by more than half. Truth is in the middle.
  14. PHX 125: Pitiful display included three goose eggs and nine single digit scores =  blown out by 100
