2013 Levee G-Men

Levee has always been a maddeningly inconsistent franchise, mailing it in one week and then setting the world on fire another, with their scorched earth approach. If they could approach every week like it was the PETER BOWL they could turn into contenders in 2014; They'll draft mid round, the best chance to compile a strong all-around roster.

2013 FINAL ROSTER

Team Owner: Peter Persampieri

Hometown: New Orleans, Louisiana

2013 Record: 5-8

2014 Draft Position: 6th

Week 12: 9. Levee 5-7 1739.36
The G-Men faced the toughest second half onslaught, and vindicated themselves fairly well, posting a respectable season despite adversity. Still, they never truly contended, never managing to breach .500 again after their win in the first week. 2013 will go down as their fourth losing season in five tries- with a good draft and some better luck, 2014 might be the year they take a long awaited step forward.

Week 9: 10. Levee 4-5 1293.57
Never quite bad, never quite good, the G-Men just are- they straddle the line of competitiveness: They have not beaten a team with a winning record this season, and face four of them to finish off the season. On an optimistic note, they are coming off of their best game of the season, a 183 point domination over Bristol. If they can string together some numbers like that, don't count them out. If they cannot maintain that form, they'll finish on the outside looking in for the fourth time in five years.

Week 6: 11. Levee  3-3 845.04
The G-Men have had the second easiest slate of games to date, but have been unable to gain any traction with them. They've made a lot of reactive moves, but have been unable to be proactive, picking up or trading for players before their breakout. While their bench is mostly spare parts, their starting lineup is strong, and their defensive players are consistent. This is a solid team that will probably finish a game above or below .500: Which way they break banks on the health of elder statesmen Frank Gore and Andre Johnson.

Week 3: 11. Levee  1-2 439.97

In 2011 The G-Men had the worst offense in the league; In 2012 their offense was the league's best. It's hard to discern Levee's game plan, but the team is a darling of Yahoo! projections. Their roster has experienced a lot of turnover, as they look for the right mixture of depth pieces; It is currently a weird mish mosh of tweeners, joining the squad after big weeks and then failing to carve out definitive roles. Justin Houston has been a monster so far, nearly single handedly clinching week three- but he cannot do it alone, as evidenced by the monday night loss.

2013 Season Preview

The Levee G-Men have been an uneven team, alternatively terrible and very good: 2009 and 2011 were terrible, but 2010 saw them finish in fourth place, putting up sterling numbers- it remains their only playoff appearance to date. Last year their solid roster yielded disappointing results. If they can remain focused, they can be contenders on any given Sunday.
