Relegated Franchise: Flint Aristocrats

In 2014 the team that was originally known as the Teamville Players, then became the Flint Aristocrats mid-season, will cease to exist. The cumulative effort of the Franchise owners (John Vicinanza and Ben Tischelman, respectively) was not a bad one. The team finished with a mediocre 5-8 record, but had made a lot of headway midseason, surging to a 5-4 record before an unfortunate four game skid ultimately undercut their significant gains. The franchise was not renewed for the 2014 season.

2013 FINAL ROSTER

Team Owner: Ben Tishelman

Hometown: Flint, Michigan

Overall Record: (2 years) 9-17 .346%

Playoff Record: (0 Appearances)

Week 12: 11. Flint  5-7 1722.92
This team emerged from turmoil and looked primed for a breakout, but after a demoralizing loss to Levee in week ten on a last second booth review, the Aristocrats petered out. They still have a smartly engineered team that could dominate the consolation bracket and lock in a top pick for 2014, giving ownership an opportunity to draw up their own championship machination.

Week 9: 9. Flint 5-4 1320.71
The midseason move from Teamville has reinvigorated the Aristocrats, winners of two straight. With clarified purpose and a roster on the upswing, Flint is capitalizing on the potential its roster retained throughout- RBs Zac Stacy and Ben Tate, acquired for Phil Rivers in week 5, are looking like diamonds in the rough, fermenting to perfection just in time for the stretch run. They have the look of a team of destiny.
Week 6: 10. Flint  3-3-0 891.48 919.77 W-1

Week 6: 10. Flint  3-3 891.48
The Aristocrats inherit a team rich in talent, with above average starters at every offensive position. With some TLC and a few choice supplementary moves, this team is in position to make a run through the bulk of bye season. It will be interesting to see how the new regime puts their own stamp on the second half of the season: Do they move some of their talent, to hand select their own guys? Beyond Dez Bryant, there's no obvious MC Hammer candidates.
FOLLOWING WEEK 6: The Teamville Players transitioned ownership, becoming the Flint Aristocrats.

Week 3: 10. Teamville 1-2 455.4
The Players have been steadfastly competitive, and without any holes in the lineup, should continue to be. However, without proactively improving the roster, the team might suffer some more close losses as it deals with bye weeks. Holding a rejuvenated Philip Rivers may prove to be a valuable trade chip, as he rebuilds his stock week by week; Inevitably, a team will lose its QB, and Rivers and Vick appear to be the top backups on the block.

2013 Season Preview

The Players went 5-8 in 2011 and were relegated, but have returned to the premier league in 2013. They missed the draft, and so their early season moves will be essential to reshaping the core of this franchise, especially on the defensive side of the ball.
