IX: Week Nine Results

Week Nine saw the Deputy pull away a little bit, and just about everyone else pull closer together. The Van Halens reach eight wins in nine weeks, all but clinching a playoff spot. Three 6-3 teams (HCM City, Savannah, and New York) and two 5-4 teams (Binghamton and Phoenix) control their fates, with everyone else chasing and struggling to keep their heads above water.

SCOREBOARD:

Week 9 Matchups

POWER OUTPUT:

  1. DVH 240: Tops in the league, the season could ultimately come down to Zeke Elliot's eligibility- if he plays, who beats the Van Halens? Goff replacing Rivers went well.
  2. SAV 208: Alshon Jeffery has been great since joining the Petes, triggering an offense that hit on all cylinders this week, making up for ho-hum defensive play.
  3. RUM 205: Not dead yet- the Rum Ham play spoiler and keep in the thick of the playoff race by winning three of four. Now they need to pull the same trick this month. TD HILTON!
  4. PHX 192: Two streaks end, as the Uprising lose and fail to break 200 despite a top four effort. Missing Deshaun Watson, and feeling the trades of Alshon, Marvin, and Lee bite back
  5. NYF 190: Cook, and Engram helped hide the strain on Andy Dalton, Doug Martin, Shaq Barrett and Ryan Kerrigan with jumbo efforts. Gender roles be damned: Gurley rules!
  6. BIN 183: Not quite 300 points but it will do as the Snipers supplant the Uprising as the league's hottest team, putting together a five game win streak of their own.
  7. HVM 173: Placed in the league's top half but still offered no contest in a tough matchup, the McFlys now need to win out for a chance to defend the throne.
  8. SPC 167: Low scoring and tightly contested, the Cows win, but lose hotheaded Mike Evans for a week to suspension ahead of an important matchup with Phoenix.
  9. HCM 164: An important win in a trap game, they have a win on their point rivals (BIN, PHX) and points on their win rivals (SAV, NYF) putting them in healthy position for a bye.
  10. MAL 163: Matt Stafford did all he could to will the team to victory, but comes up short. The team needs a miracle month- or else, to crest in the consolation bracket and angle for next year.
  11. PAW 162: Losers of three straight and four of five, the Pride are still in playoff striking distance if they can get their shit together promptly.
  12. OAK 156: They'll try for a third time to get win #5 after back to back putrid efforts. An impressive start to the season is unraveling quickly despite a mostly healthy squad.
  13. MMC 149: The Crew become the first team to shift their focus to the consolation bracket- namely, getting into it. They're a game behind the rest of the mediocre pack.
  14. LTP 116: Shorthanded by three, Toronto didn't have much of a prayer in this one. Roster intact, they could still win out and get in, but there is no margin for error remaining.
