One month in, the Moose are still undefeated, the Rudy-Toos are still defeated, we have had some COVID-19 disruptions, and we have nine weeks left on the docket.
Under Manitoba, Deputy, Mar-A-Lago, and Hill Valley are sitting pretty at 3-1, each team taking a win streak into week 5. Six teams are even at 2-2, which gives them each roughly equal playoff chances. Behind the eight ball at 1-3 are South Park, Phoenix, and Philadelphia; All three have enough time to dig out of their hole... but they better start shoveling some footholds soon.
RESULTS
Week 4 Matchups
POWER OUTPUT
- HVM 240: The McFlys delivered the goods against their staunch rivals while approaching respectability in the total points column. At 3-1 they have the luxury of being patient with a beaten up receiver group.
- MAL 229: The Grabbers are the league's hottest team since wk1, showcasing a strong roster with a single Achilles heel- tight end. With Jared Cook still questionable, look for them to make a move there.
- MMC 227: With Lamar Jackson bouncing back from a rough wk3, Manitoba looks commanding at the top of the crop. If Golden Tate is suspended, the team will look for a now healthy Perriman to step in.
- DVH 221: Rolling with the punches as JuJu and Cam Newton both had COVID interrupt, Deputy saw Baker Mayfield take the reins and the wagon roll on. Enviable RB battery, but no true 3rd option on the roster.
- JSC 213: Jersey bounces back from a woeful week 3 despite Davante Adams missing another game; If they can win week 5 without him (bye) they will benefit from his return to health the rest of the way.
- PHX 207: Despite dawdling around 200 points every week, the Uprising are 1-3 and can blame some lackluster defensive efforts in this one- if Darius Leonard's injury lingers, his high draft slot quickly backfires.
- SPC 197: The Cows have played well enough to win most weeks, then just... not won with scores of 193, 189, and 197. The team will hope that Deshaun Watson is unleashed by a mid-season coaching change.
- CRT 193: Carmel can take some solace in the fact that they have made incremental gains in the points department each week; Keeping on this trajectory they'll be unstoppable by week 11- also, they'll be 2-8.
- BIN 193: A last minute deal for Aaron Rodgers resulted in a 20 point boon for the Snipers, but unfortunately they still came up short and now see Rodgers hit the bye with four other starters in week 5.
- PAW 178: Za'Darius Smith was such a monster on the gridiron that the rest of the defense just stopped to watch- so yeah, Pawnee lost. RB group is also looking pretty anemic at the moment.
- HCM 178: Despite a couple holes at running back the Lead Farmers nab the W, learning a roster management lesson with minimal pain, and now the team figures to have Henry & Bell back for week five.
- SAV 183: The offense showed up nicely, but the defense was porous and fragile. When the duds all line up like that, it's gonna be tough to win. The team needs to round up some running backs for week five.
- OTB 167: In the battle of 'who wants to win the least?' the Tommy Boy's are the low man. Michael Thomas returning to health will help, but the defense needs some love to evolve- injured Seahawks score no points.
- PRH 145: They lose 20 points on the Rodgers/Ryan deal- but would have lost anyway. If Nick Chubb is healthy sooner rather than later and Rodgers and Ryan end up within 50 pts ROS, this was a coup for Philly.
