Trade 9: Tightening Loose Ends

Phoenix and Philadelphia linked up for a deal Thursday shortly before the week kicked off. It's a three for one, with the Rum Ham shipping out an elite tight end to plug three holes.

PHOENIX ACQUIRES TE GEORGE KITTLE

PHILADELPHIA ACQUIRES WR BRANDIN COOKS, RB DEVIN SINGLETARY, LB DEION JONES

The Uprising get Kittle, with the only knock on him being his haircut, and his fragility- he missed two games earlier this season and two games last year as well. Otherwise he's a special playmaker at a position devoid of talent. His departure leaves South Philly with Eric Ebron, still trying to deliver on his top notch pedigree since being the 10th pick in the 2014 draft- now with his third team, they will be large shoes to fill. Noah Fant slides to a flex/reserve role for Phoenix; Rumor has it that he was to be included in the deal, until he was switched out for Singletary in the moments before consummation.

It's a buy low on the running back, who has shown flashes of playmaking ability but been unable to deliver consistent production. Meanwhile, the team gets Brandin Cooks on bye; When he returns, he'd be second fiddle to Calvin Ridley... assuming Ridley's injury last night does not prove serious. After a slow start with Carmel, Cooks put up a goose egg in his Phoenix debut before exploding for 40 points in week five, and double digits in each game since.

Meanwhile, LB Deion Jones has been a dependable LB2, scoring double digits in five of eight, and notching sacks in each of his last two games; He's shown LB1 heights before, and will be counted on to be an every week contributor moving forward.

XII: Week Seven Recap

Week seven saw two matchups come down to the wire, as Binghamton has a .7 advantage over Mar-A-Lago in a high scoring contest, while Pawnee has a 1.05 lead over South Park in a much more modest affair. Neither tally should be considered conclusive until Thursday morning, as any adjustment is likely to alter the landscape, and multiple tweaks could really make things interesting.

In other news, the Moosecrew's undefeated season is over as they plummet to the bottom of the power output in week seven while dropping one spot (to #2) in the overall seedings, ceding pole position to the Hill Valley McFlys who have been a juggernaut in six of seven weeks and have the 6-1 record to show for it.

HCM City and New Jersey have solid standing as the league's second tier, both 5-2, in the top four for total points, and in the driver's seat for playoff positioning. Should Pawnee's lead hold, they're the #5 seed and the last squad over .500; A reversal would see them descend into madness, as along with South Park, it would result in 8 teams all even at 3-4- assuming the other matchup stays the same. Meanwhile, Mar-A-Lago getting an overturn from the booth review could see them join Pawnee at 4-3, a fitting standing for their #2 ranked scoring offense, while Binghamton would fall back off the pace to 2-5. That's where South Park sits for now, despite the fifth most points on the season.

At the bottom we see sad sack Carmel put up their best score of the year in a losing effort, a real travesty- four of the top five scorers this week were confined to two real slobberknockers. The Rum Ham defense let them down in a winnable matchup that could have thrust them into the throng- instead, they'll be playing catchup in the back half of the season.

RESULTS

Week 7 Matchups

POWER OUTPUT

  1. BIN 227: This is the way to get back in the game- but a stat correction reversal would be, even for 2020, pretty dang demoralizing. Otherwise! A FIGHTING CHANCE.
  2. HCM 227: The Lead Farmers hold a pretty healthy points league if civilization deteriorates and football ends prematurely, they could be the final LB champ, reigning for eternity.
  3. MAL 226: Second in total points, sixth in the standings. I am rooting for these Grabbers to remain relevant much deeper into 2020 than their namesake.
  4. HVM 217: Seizing the top seed, the best may be yet to come for a stacked roster that, good health obliging, will be a favorite to retake the Silver Chalice once again.
  5. CRT 211: Really just horrible luck here. The Rudy-Toos have battled, they've scrounged, they've done a great job to make something out of nothing, but that something is just 1 win out of 7.
  6. JSC 202: Mid-season the Sanitation Crew are cleaning up while most of the league is breaking down. Well, Kyler Murray and Devante Adams are, anyway.
  7. DVH 186: A solid effort but the Van Halens go down for the third time in a row, and face  a quarterback quandary with Cam Newton struggling- in steps Teddy Bridgewater.
  8. PHX 180: Budda Baker rescues the Uprising again, as the defense has had to step in for an uninspiring offense that lost Odell Beckham for the season on the second play from scrimmage.
  9. SAV 180: If Savannah and Phoenix had met this week, we could have had the first tie in league history. Instead, Savannah wins a laugher, and could have CMC back for the stretch.
  10. PAW 175: Tyler Rapp provided the improbably victory here, pending stat adjustments. The Pride have been charmed to date 4-3 despite being an astounding 13th in total points.
  11. SPC 174: Meanwhile, more hard luck in South Park, as their worst game of the season ends up a point short of victory... CeeDee Lamb going stone cold really hurt badly.
  12. OTB 173: A failure to replace Michael Thomas or Jamal Adams despite having the IR spots available crippled this squad. I hope surfing with your dear brother was worth it!!
  13. PRH 157: With more than half the team scoring single digits, the Rum Ham waste an opportunity to capture a much needed win, and last in points, look poised to linger at the bottom again.
  14. MMC 145: If there's a silver lining, its that this team is still 6-1 and clustered a bunch of duds together on the same week. They wasted Justin Herbert's most glorious day to date.

TEAM OF THE WEEK

  • QB KYLER MURRAY (42.00) - JSC
  • RB JAMES ROBINSON (33.00) - CRT
  • WR TYLER LOCKETT (54.03) - HCM
  • TE TJ HOCKENSON (15.60) - PAW
  • DL MYLES GARRETT (16.50) - SAV
  • LB DEVIN WHITE (29.50) - OTB
  • CB DENZEL WARD (20.00) - HVM
  • SS BUDDA BAKER (34.50) - PHX
  • PK ZANE GONZALEZ (15.00) - SPC

UPCOMING MATCHUPS

Hill Valley and Manitoba come in from opposite ends of the spectrum this week, both 6-1 and battling for supremacy. That's going to be the marquee matchup in week eight, as the victor should have a clear route to a playoff bye, while the loser could end up in a crowd of 6-2 teams, with Jersey and HCM both projected to win again.

Trades 7 & 8 Gameday Downsizing

Pawnee pulled off back to back deals Sunday morning, turning four players into two to start the week, before pulling off a nailbiter victory over the South Park Cows, pending stat corrections. Lets see what they did.

PHILADELPHIA ACQUIRES: WR COREY DAVIS & RB LA'MICAL PERINE

CARMEL ACQUIRES: WR AJ GREEN & WR BRANDON AIYUK

PAWNEE ACQUIRES: WR JAMISON CROWDER & WR JULIAN EDELMAN

Both the Rum Ham and Rudy-Tuesdays received a pair of Pawnee's Pride, while Pawnee takes Edelman from the Rum Ham and Crowder from the Rudy-Tuesdays. It's the traditional depth for upside play with a pair of scuffling bottom feeders filling out their roster and the defending champ (despite a somewhat lackluster start to the season) getting the best player in each deal- maybe.

Julian Edelman has struggled to date while Corey Davis has been a double digit performer in every game he's played; Pawnee must have felt like this was a sell high opportunity on the 291st pick in the draft, while buying low on Edelman who went 219 picks later. Game one after the deal, advantage Philadelphia.

That the Rum Ham also added a potential starting running back looked like gravy, but the team dropped him after the game despite a 16.2 point showcase and only the ageless Frank Gore around to compete for carries. It's confusing- perhaps Philly only wanted Davis and took Perine to facilitate the deal, but there was no harm in holding him through the waiver period, at least. Maybe he's dropping him to bait the wire into misdirection?

Carmel adds two WRs on opposite ends of the spectrum- the veteran AJ Green, an elite wideout for so many years, and Brandon Aiyuk the explosive young rookie who is making a name for himself. With Green there's the idea that once he shakes the rust off there might still be some magic in that old silk hat they found, that there's still upside. With Aiyuk the upside is obvious but the typical rookie pitfalls of game plan afterthought are enough to make a manager wary. Crowder sort of split the middle, with a higher floor than Aiyuk and a higher ceiling than Green, although his bugaboo remains good health, as he has seen double digit targets in the four games he has played, but has missed three games as well.

All told... tough to declare a winner in these deals right now. Could be three winners, could be three losers.

XII: Week Six Recap

Manitoba is edging towards clinching midway though the season, while Hill Valley (just barely!) remains a step behind them, pending stat corrections in a squeaker over the moribund 1-5 Rudy-Toos, who cannot catch a break. HCM City and New Jersey are both sitting in a good position at 4-2, in control of their destinies. Manitoba, Hill Valley, and HCM City have all been effective while seeing the easiest schedules to date- the Lead Farmers, fresh off a league leading power output, lead the leagues in points for.

Of the four teams square at .500% three dropped to 3-3 this week: Mar-A-Lago, Deputy, and Ohio sinking, while Pawnee fights back to even the score. Behind them five teams sit at 2-4, all of them hoping to catch fire in the season's second half and make the playoffs.

RESULTS

Week 6 Matchups

POWER OUTPUT

  1. HCM 244: When you win by over a hundred points, you're making a statement. That statement is named Derrick Henry, who was drafted 7th overall. He's still feeling slighted about that.
  2. JSC 232: Jersey gets double digits from 14 of 17 starters and needed every point in a clash of titans; Kyler Murray is the top QB in the league through six weeks.
  3. PHX 224: By the grace of Budda the Uprising evade a 1-5 start, with the defense doing much of the heavy lifting. TE has been a gaping black hole for several weeks now.
  4. SPC 219: Rough stuff, scoring this well and not coming away with a win. A number of ho-hum defensive scores did the Cows dirty, 2-4 despite scoring the 3rd most points to date.
  5. MAL 206: With a chance to win in the 4th quarter, Christian Kirk did his part, but Zeke Elliot came up wanting, fumbling away an opportunity to surge over .500%
  6. PRH 198: Matt Ryan made a statement, and it was that the Rum Ham offense came to play. The defense was less spectacular, but that's swept under the rug with a victory.
  7. HVM 192: It came down to the final seconds of play, but the McFlys are showing the same clutch gene that delivered an 11-2 record in 2019. A stack of WR1s is always helpful to that end.
  8. PAW 190: Things did not look good for the defending champs until Kenyan Drake rumbled for a very nice 69 yard touchdown run to drop the Petes' claim on their namesake.
  9. CRT 188: It could have been glorious, but nobody could stop Amari Cooper in the waning moments- one man's garbage time is another man's crunch time. Woof.
  10. OTB 188: With byes pockmarking their bench, Ohio had to trot out some scrubs this week and it showed- six players scored less than five points, undermining Justin Jefferson's prowess.
  11. MMC 187: The charmed life continues as the Moose Crew take a W despite a bottom four point total. With Lamar Jackson on bye the team turns to rookie Justin Herbert in week 7.
  12. SAV 171: What happened to TY Hilton? His utter lack of production has crippled Savannah multiple times this year. This time it wasted a nice defensive performance.
  13. DVH 166: Sometimes the offense sputters, it happens to every team, it cannot always be explained. The Van Halens will hope to bounce back in week seven, that's all.
  14. BIN 140: Something is broken in Binghamton, as the team has been in the bottom half of these rankings since week 2, finishing last twice in a row. The WR is mostly to blame.
TEAM OF THE WEEK

  • QB MATT RYAN (34.04 PTS) - PRH
  • RB DERRICK HENRY (50.00 PTS) - HCM
  • WR JUSTIN JEFFERSON (40.90 PTS) - OTB
  • TE GEORGE KITTLE (25.50 PTS) - PRH
  • DL CALAIS CAMPBELL (27.50 PTS) - JSC
  • LB DEVIN WHITE (26.00 PTS) - OTB
  • CB MARLON HUMPHREY (24.00 PTS) - HCM
  • SS BUDDA BAKER (31.50 PTS) - PHX
  • PK YOUNGHOE KOO (20.00 PTS) - HCM
UPCOMING MATCHUPS

Not a single game between teams with winning records- which gives the pack a chance to catch up. We're back to a regular schedule this week, games Thursday-Monday, pending more COVID related contingency plans.

Thursday, October 15, 2020

Trade 6: DK 4 JJJ

Following the late waiver period we saw a blockbuster deal go down, as Carmel moves their crown jewel for much needed reinforcements. It's a solid deal- but perhaps one that might have fetched a higher price if a trade block sweepstakes invitation was invoked. Competition drives the market!

HILL VALLEY ACQUIRES WR DK METCALF & RB RAHEEM MOSTERT

CARMEL ACQUIRES WR JAMISON CROWDER, WR JERRY JEUDY, & RB JAMES ROBINSON

The McFlys get Metcalf, who is being discussed as potentially seizing the WR1 crown after a run of dominant performances; They also acquire Mostert, who has delivered double digits in the three games he was healthy enough to play in. It's a major upgrade even for a team that might have already boasted the best WR group in the league- except in one way: Metcalf is on bye in week 6 and the Rudy-Toos play the McFlys, weaponizing the week off in a matchup that is bordering on must-win for the previously winless squad. Hill Valley can take an L if necessary as they trot out Julio, Amari, DK as their big three the rest of the way- an indisputable dominant trio.

For Carmel, these are three every week starters- and not bottom of the barrel options, either. There's credibility to the idea that this would have been the best offer Carmel would have gotten even if they had opened up the auction to all twelve other teams, with the previously mentioned bye week poison pill either shrewd weekly management or a serendipitous coincidence.  The Rudy Toos are better this week and moving forward for the deal, with Crowder performing as a WR1 in all three games he has played this year, James Robinson a bonafide RB1/2, and Jeudy a WR3 with upside and a bye week in the rearview.

XII: Week Five Recap

With all the shifts in schedule, this week's recap is coming late- but served hot! Thursday Night Football was gobbled up by rescheduling so this week will start Sunday and end Monday, a concise setup that is already imperiled: ATL had some COVID-19 positives this morning, jeopardizing their tilt with MIN. If the game is postponed it would like lead to a week 6 bye for both teams, which will leave several Larkspur Bowl squads reeling.

Manitoba remains at the league's zenith with a perfect 5-0 record. Behind them, the Hill Valley McFlys 4-1 record has seen them put up some overwhelming numbers outside of a week 2 dud. We've got five 3-2 teams jostling for playoff position, four 2-3 teams elbowing each other to get back in the race, and three 1-4 teams hoping to salvage their season before it is too late.

RESULTS

Week 5 Matchups

POWER OUTPUT

  1. HVM 261: The defense laid on the points, but this was a matchup the McFlys could have won in their sleep. The team is rolling and continues to get better via trade.
  2. HCM 233: The Lead Farmers lead the league in total pts but will have some immediate holes to address following the Le'Veon Bell release- but are in a great spot in the standings.
  3. SPC 232: The Cows take a laugher and remain a hyper competent challenge for the silver chalice, especially if DeShaun Watson has the keys to a potent new offense.
  4. OTB 212: Bouncing back after a couple of losses, being 3-2 and two with Micahel Thomas set to return (healthy and less punchy) after a wk 6 bye, this team is in good shape.
  5. MMC 206: Perfect through five weeks, the Moose Crew can pursue an undefeated season (or at least a bye) or coast through to optimize their playoff roster, needing just 3 wins to clinch.
  6. JSC 194: The team has not matched their week one outburst, but have been competitive in 3 of 4 since, giving them ample opportunity to contend down the stretch.
  7. CRT 187: VICTORY! The Rudy-Toos continue to battle despite their early season frustrations, working over their roster with a lineup of scrappy overachievers.
  8. PHX 186: The ten year playoff streak is well in the rear-view, as Phoenix looks bound for a second straight season among the other half of the league.
  9. MAL 184: The Grabbers drop a winnable matchup but still sit at a healthy 3-2 with an opportunity to issue a coup de grace to Phoenix in week 6.
  10. DVH 164: This stinker came at a bad time for Deputy, who had been rolling through the season's first month but 'only' have a 3-2 record to show for it heading into a date with the Moose.
  11. SAV 163: Some woeful showings on defense undermined an otherwise solid (but unspectacular) week for the Petes in week 5, and they have another tough slate of byes in week 6.
  12. PAW 142: Godawful for the defending champs, their defense let them down while AJ Green continues to do his rigor mortis impression, this team has breached 187 pts just once.
  13. PRH 120: Matty Ice's return has not gone as planned, although his 4.56 pts outscored 5/8th of a defense that combined for just 35 points in week five. Putrid.
  14. BIN 112: Bye weeks ravaged this team's talent, and maybe they would have been better just mailing it in shorthanded, as only four players managed double digits, thus... atrocity.

TEAM OF THE WEEK

  • QB KYLER MURRAY (29.60) - JSC
  • RB MIKE DAVIS (29.40) - CRT
  • WR MIKE WILLIAMS (29.30) - PAW
  • TE TRAVIS KELCE (23.30) - MMC
  • DL AARON DONALD (33.00) - HVM
  • LB PATRICK QUEEN (35.15) - HVM
  • CB MALCOLM BUTLER (35.35) - BIN
  • SS BUDDA BAKER (19.00) - PHX
  • PK WILL LUTZ (15.00) - OTB

UPCOMING MATCHUPS

With five weeks in, we have just two months to go before the playoffs- traditionally, eight wins clinches a playoff spot, while seven wins comes down to tiebreakers, so our 1-4 squads are getting to do-or-die mode.

COVID-19 Titans/Bills Contingency

Because the Titans and Bills have already been pushed to a Tuesday start, if the game is canceled due to COVID-19 there will be no option to replace players on the roster. AS SUCH we're going to have special roster rules in place for this game- and this game only.

If you have a player on the Bills or Titans in your starting lineup, you can designate via the facebook thread a replacement. The replacement must be on your roster and MUST BE DESIGNATED BEFORE THEIR SPECIFIC GAME KICKS OFF. That player will slot in to replace the Bill/Titan on your roster if the game is postponed beyond week 5. If the game happens as scheduled, the roster is set- even if the player is injured or inactive, even due to COVID-19. This designated replacement only occurs if the game does not happen in week 5.

COVID-19 part 3

The Week 5 matchup between the Patriots and Broncos has been postponed, with both teams shifting to a week 5 bye week- meaning all of those players will have this week count as their week off.

Due to the rules laid out earlier this week, no special accommodations will be made for this game, and dropped players will be subject to the standard waiver/free agent protocols. Act accordingly, as if these players are on bye.

If either team has a subsequent week postponed due to COVID-19, we will revert to laid out contingencies.

Updated COVID-19 Protocols

If the NFL drastically adjusts the season due to COVID-19, or if Yahoo! makes additional options available to counteract the week-to-week uncertainty, this plan is subject to change.

For the time being, this is how the Larkspur Bowl will handle schedule adjustments due to COVID-19:

If a game is rescheduled to replace a team's bye weeks (as we saw in week 4 for TEN/PIT players) there will be no adjustment. Every player has a bye week, so despite the inconvenience of having it sprung on you, augmenting the roster size to deal with byes is not pragmatic. If a game is moved to a later day in the same week (Tuesday or perhaps even Wednesday) no adjustments will be made to the rosters. Players on the bench can always be dropped (even after they play) and players can be added until their game kicks off, making last minute roster fills plausible, if not always optimal.

Currently, players are only eligible for the IR list if they are listed as OUT, IR, or COVID-19; the COVID-19 designation is a formal list for players that have tested positive or been place in quarantine due to exposure, not a catch-all for teams that have had outbreaks.

If games are canceled (without the possibility of shifting bye weeks) ideally Y! will make all players from the teams in the canceled game IR eligible and we would add additional IR slots; If one game was canceled we would add one IR slot (4 total) if two games in a given week are canceled we would add another IR slot (5 total), if three games or more games in a given week are canceled a third (6 total) would be added- these additions would remain in place for the balance of the season. I am putting a soft cap of 6 on the IR, but if there are substantial disruptions the number can be increased all the way up to ten.

If a game is canceled (beyond a team's one bye week) and players in canceled games are not given universal IR designation, we will go into the following temporary roster expansion protocol:

Once the game is officially canceled for the week, a public post on the league's facebook group where teams can designate any player (from the teams that have had their game canceled) dropped to be returned to their roster at the end of the week, bypassing the waiver system.

FOR EXAMPLE: if the Titans have their week 5 game canceled due to COVID-19, but have already used their bye week in week 4, and the players in the canceled game are not given universal IR status, a manager could drop TEN RB Derrick Henry and designate him for return, and the commish will manually restore him to the team for week 6 without penalty.

Teams will need to drop players to make room for their returning players prior to waivers clearing on Wednesday morning, the commish will be responsible for ensuring this process goes smoothly. In this way, once teams have exhausted their BYE week, we can ensure teams do not suffer long term reperescussions due to cancelations.

Due to Y!'s restriction, any IR slots or bench slots that are added to a roster become permanent for the remainder of the season- as such, I want to stay away from adding roster spots. If the current model is unsustainable due to multiple games being canceled on a weekly basis, we will consider expanding rosters (all the way up to the max of 30 players) instead- any roster expansion would occur during a universal waiver period to give every team a fair chance at claims.

Trades 4 & 5: A Deal in Two Parts

We had a unique transaction last night, as Binghamton and South Philly split their deal in two parts, with half impacting* week four and the other half applied to week five. First two QBs switched huddles, then two Running Backs. Impacting gets an asterisk as both teams still ended up on the losing end in week four, despite their daring dance.

BINGHAMTON ACQUIRES: QB AARON RODGERS & RB NICK CHUBB

PHILADELPHIA ACQUIRES: QB MATT RYAN & RB RONALD JONES II

Rapid reaction would see the Snipers gain an advantage here; Aaron Rodgers has been lighting it up to date, and his 30 points trounced Matty Ice's 10 in the immediate thereafter. That said, it's a long season and a toss up on which QB stays healthy and scores more the rest of the way. Advantage Rodgers, but not by such a longshot.

Meanwhile, the Snipers sell high on Ronald Jones II, turning his big day into an investment in their future. Nick Chubb's injury will keep him out a minimum of three weeks- the sooner he is able to return (and return at full strength) the better this deal works out for Binghamton; Already holding Kareem Hunt, they're hedging their bet here, and should benefit from the lack of a timeshare in the short term.

Philadelphia would like to see Jones keep the bellcow role, as a Fournette timeshare would tamp down his upside. Still, he's upright, (which is more than can be said for Chubb) and productive, a reasonable plug and play beside rookie Jonathan Taylor. At 1-3, Philly is alright shifting to must-win mode, while betting hard on their favored quarterback.

XII: Week Four Recap

One month in, the Moose are still undefeated, the Rudy-Toos are still defeated, we have had some COVID-19 disruptions, and we have nine weeks left on the docket.

Under Manitoba, Deputy, Mar-A-Lago, and Hill Valley are sitting pretty at 3-1, each team taking a win streak into week 5. Six teams are even at 2-2, which gives them each roughly equal playoff chances. Behind the eight ball at 1-3 are South Park, Phoenix, and Philadelphia; All three have enough time to dig out of their hole... but they better start shoveling some footholds soon.

RESULTS

Week 4 Matchups

POWER OUTPUT

  1. HVM 240: The McFlys delivered the goods against their staunch rivals while approaching respectability in the total points column. At 3-1 they have the luxury of being patient with a beaten up receiver group.
  2. MAL 229: The Grabbers are the league's hottest team since wk1, showcasing a strong roster with a single Achilles heel- tight end. With Jared Cook still questionable, look for them to make a move there.
  3. MMC 227: With Lamar Jackson bouncing back from a rough wk3, Manitoba looks commanding at the top of the crop. If Golden Tate is suspended, the team will look for a now healthy Perriman to step in.
  4. DVH 221: Rolling with the punches as JuJu and Cam Newton both had COVID interrupt, Deputy saw Baker Mayfield take the reins and the wagon roll on. Enviable RB battery, but no true 3rd option on the roster.
  5. JSC 213: Jersey bounces back from a woeful week 3 despite Davante Adams missing another game; If they can win week 5 without him (bye) they will benefit from his return to health the rest of the way.
  6. PHX 207: Despite dawdling around 200 points every week, the Uprising are 1-3 and can blame some lackluster defensive efforts in this one- if Darius Leonard's injury lingers, his high draft slot quickly backfires.
  7. SPC 197: The Cows have played well enough to win most weeks, then just... not won with scores of 193, 189, and 197. The team will hope that Deshaun Watson is unleashed by a mid-season coaching change.
  8. CRT 193: Carmel can take some solace in the fact that they have made incremental gains in the points department each week; Keeping on this trajectory they'll be unstoppable by week 11- also, they'll be 2-8.
  9. BIN 193: A last minute deal for Aaron Rodgers resulted in a 20 point boon for the Snipers, but unfortunately they still came up short and now see Rodgers hit the bye with four other starters in week 5.
  10. PAW 178: Za'Darius Smith was such a monster on the gridiron that the rest of the defense just stopped to watch- so yeah, Pawnee lost. RB group is also looking pretty anemic at the moment.
  11. HCM 178: Despite a couple holes at running back the Lead Farmers nab the W, learning a roster management lesson with minimal pain, and now the team figures to have Henry & Bell back for week five.
  12. SAV 183: The offense showed up nicely, but the defense was porous and fragile. When the duds all line up like that, it's gonna be tough to win. The team needs to round up some running backs for week five.
  13. OTB 167: In the battle of 'who wants to win the least?' the Tommy Boy's are the low man. Michael Thomas returning to health will help, but the defense needs some love to evolve- injured Seahawks score no points.
  14. PRH 145: They lose 20 points on the Rodgers/Ryan deal- but would have lost anyway. If Nick Chubb is healthy sooner rather than later and Rodgers and Ryan end up within 50 pts ROS, this was a coup for Philly.

TEAM OF THE WEEK

  • QB DAK PRESCOTT (40.18) - MAL
  • RB JOE MIXON (43.60) - DVH
  • WR ODELL BECKHAM (40.20) - PHX
  • TE GEORGE KITTLE (38.00) - PRH
  • DT MYLES GARETT (15.50) - SAV
  • LB ZA'DARIUS SMITH (31.00) - PAW
  • CB PIERRE DESIR (37.75) - MAL
  • SS TYRANN MATHIEU (23.25) - SPC
  • PK RANDY BULLOCK (17.00) - BIN

UPCOMING MATCHUPS

Week Five does not feature ay matchups between teams with winning records, which makes it an opportunity for the rich to get richer, or the pack to gain ground. Keep an eye on the undefeated Moosecrew facing off with the defending champion Pride; We could a lot about both teams in our marquee matchup.
