XII: New Jersey are Larkspur Bowl Champions!

I apologize for the long delay in celebrating our twelfth Larkspur Bowl Final, awarded to the New Jersey Sanitation Crew and Head Coach Nick Lang. Jersey is the eighth franchise to capture the silver chalice, winning in their second season. They defeat the HCM Lead Farmers, who also lost LBIX, giving them two silver medals and no silver chalices.

As previously noted, the Sanitation Crew had taken a massive lead into the end game, with Jersey WR Stefon Diggs effectively neutralizing whatever ground Lead Farmer QB Josh Allen tried to make up. With the victory effectively in hand the of note was New Jersey's affront on the all-time Championship game scoring record. They finished behind the LBX Champion Hill Valley McFlys, who scored 250.48 in their 2018 thrashing of the Pawnee Pride.

The dynamic duo of Diggs and Davante Adams at WR were unstoppable in the big game, teaming to trounce a HCM squad that put up a healthy point total- Defensive Captain Fred Warner and his linebacking corps were all over the field, but a DeAndre Hopkins and Derrick Henry could not get their mojo working in this one. Meanwhile, the Sanitation Defense was solid rather than spectacular, but it was enough to get the job done.

A final recap of the seeding games and the final draft order will be forthcoming, along with the final bracket and the hoisting of the NJSC Championship banner.
