The Larkspur Bowl 2009

The Larkspur Bowl took its roots in 2007, with the Necessary Roughness League. In 2009, the NRL's top three teams (Phoenix Uprising, Carolina Carnage, and Alabama Green Gang) began the Larkspur Bowl, a league chartered with fourteen teams and eight playoff seeds, and seven players on either side of the ball in its inaugural season. The Green Gang and Orgrimmar Horde paced the league, with the latter squad capturing the first Silver Chalice in league history.
